(FORT WORTH, TX) – Fort Worth Police say a couple tried to take a child from a local Walmart last night.

Officers responding to the Walmart on Renaissance Drive at Hwy 287 said the child was in a shopping cart when a man and woman attempted to take the child out of the cart.  A nearby Loss Prevention officer saw what was happening and confronted the couple.  Police say they left the child, then got into a Red SUV (Possibly a Saturn) and fled the store.

The child is ok and police are still looking for the suspects.  No description of the couple has been given.
