(FORT WORTH, TX) – More than a dozen men have been arrested in an internet sting by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators say the men were trying to solicit minors for sex. The 13 nabbed in the sting reportedly believed they were talking online with children under the age of 17. The ages of the men arrested range from 20 to 71. The Sheriff’s Department joined with the precinct-three constable’s office, Fort Worth police, and the DPS to bust the North Texas men on charges of online solicitation of a minor. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, more arrests are expected.
Sheriff Bill Waybourn says there is zero tolerance in Tarrant County for predators who come after children.
