(Fort Worth, TX) – It’s called “Swatting”…calling police officers out on a fake call and it happened last night to a Fort Worth SWAT team.

The Star Telegram reports the 911 call was routed from the Keller Police Department around 8:00 Sunday night.  The caller claimed he had five hostages, had already shot one and was demanding money.  When officers arrived at the location on Waterstone Road in the Keller, they realized the call was fake.

The FBI says “swatting” has become popular with online gamers that can disguise their phone numbers.
