(Dallas-Fort Worth, TX) — Hundreds of events are planned across North Texas this evening as communities celebrate National Night Out.
Most of the country observes it on the first Tuesday in August, but the Lone Star State and Florida move it to October to avoid hot weather. Local police departments are taking part in the annual campaign. According to the National Night Out website, it’s designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bring back a true sense of community.
