(CRESSON, TX) – Good news for drivers in Hood, Parker and Johnson Counties, The Texas Department of Transportation has reopened the north and southbound lanes of SH 171 near Cresson after floodwaters caused by days of rainfall forced the partial closure.  Governor Greg Abbott has issued a disaster declaration for 18 counties, including Hood County, where heavy flooding caused extensive damage.
