(Dallas, TX) — This fall is the wettest on record for the North Texas area.
Over 23 inches of rain has been recorded at the DFW International Airport, through Wednesday morning. Not only are the creeks and sewers overflowing, the Star Telegram reports that all this water has creeping critters looking for shelter and higher ground. Since September, Dallas Fort Worth Wildlife Control has seen calls about snakes and rats double. They say residents have reported snakes not just in their garage, but in their kitchens, bathrooms and even inside the walls.
The pest control company says the invasion appears to be worse in west Tarrant County… most notably in west Fort Worth, Benbrook, Aledo and Lake Worth.
