(FORT WORTH, TX) — Deliberations continue in the trial of a Cleburne mother, accused of withholding food and water from her then 13-year-old son.
Danita Tutt is charged with three counts of injury to a child and one count of attempted murder. After three full days of deliberating, the jury told the judge late yesterday, they had reached a verdict on the child abuse charges but needed more time on the attempted murder charge.
The CPS investigation into Tutt began back in 2016 after she removed her son Colby from the care of doctors at Cook Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth.
