(DALLAS, TX) – State Fair of Texas says attendance for the 24-day run topped 2 million, slightly down from last year’s 2.2 million people.
But after rain fell for 11 of those 24 days, nearly 400,000 of this year’s fairgoers went on the final two days when the sun finally came out. The fair had extended hours on Saturday and Sunday in hopes of giving more people a chance to come out with better weather. Fair officials say they had visitors from all 50 states and 183 countries around the world, and a record number of livestock entries this year.
Now only 340 days until we can get our corny dog fix!
