(Arlington, TX) — Two suspects face felony charges for a dog attack that left an Arlington man disfigured.

A pair of pit bulls attacked 58-year-old Milton Sturges, who lost his nose and both ears.  The attack happened about a month ago, and it took a while for investigators to track down the dogs’ owners.  Arlington police arrested 37-year-old Lerondrick Taylor and 39-year-old Michelle Taylor.  Both were charged with Attack By Dog.  Dog bites are usually civil cases, but Arlington police say they’re making a first-time use of a state law to charge the suspects with a felony.

Arlington Police Chief Will said “Dog owners have a responsibility to maintain proper control and security of their animals. We were able to bring appropriate justice to this family who was grateful for the assistance and compassion that our investigative team brought to this case”.
