(WEATHERFORD, TX.) – Two pickups hit head-on yesterday morning north of Weatherford resulting in the death of a 26-year-old Weatherford man.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a pickup traveling north on FM 51 crossed the center stripe near the Ric Williamson Memorial Highway intersection and went into the southbound lane.   A second southbound pick-up towing a trailer stuck the first truck head-on.  The driver of the northbound truck died at the scene.  The other driver, a 42-year-old Bridgeport man was flown to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth with unknown injuries.

FM 51 was shut down for several hours during the investigation.
