(FORT WORTH, TX) — Today is the long-awaited mid-term elections, so how will the turnout be?
Texas set records for early voting, the secretary of state’s office says four-point-eight million people had already cast ballots statewide. The number of early votes cast in Tarrant County was more than double that of previous midterm elections. More than 36,000 people voted in Parker County and nearly 5,300 in Palo Pinto County, which is nearly one-third of the county’s eligible voters.
Polls will be open until 7 p.m. This election marks the last time Texas voters will be able to cast straight-party ballots for the Republican or Democratic ticket.
