(Tarrant County, TX) — 6 people were injured in two separate accidents involving trains and vehicles on the tracks in Tarrant County.
Wednesday morning, four people sustained minor injuries when a Trinity Railway Express train they were riding on hit a flatbed trailer crossing the tracks at Precinct Line Road in Hurst. The driver of the tractor-trailer wasn’t injured.
A second collision happened Wednesday afternoon when an AMTRAK train plowed into a car crossing the tracks at West Biddison and Ryan Avenue in South Fort Worth. The car was pushed a quarter mile down the track. Fort Worth Police say two people inside the car were seriously injured. They believe the driver didn’t see the train and drove under the barrier arms.
