(Weatherford, TX) – A Parker County Sheriff’s Deputy was shot and wounded last night while investigating an illegal deer blind.
The Sheriff’s Office says the 27-year-old Deputy was shot in the foot and will be ok. According to the Sheriff’s Office, they received a call from an owner about an unauthorized deer blind on his property, located between White Settlement Road and Confederate Parkway in Azle. As the Deputy approached the deer stand on Cattlebaron Rd, two shots were fired.
The shooter ran off and is still unknown, but could face charges of attempted murder.
