Reward offered for information in shooting of Parker County Deputy

(Weatherford, TX) – A $17,000 reward is being offered for information on who shot a Parker County Sheriff’s Deputy while he was investigating an illegal deer blind.

The Sheriff’s Office put up $10,000 of the reward, $5,000 is coming from The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Parker County Crime Stoppers is offering the other $2,000.   A spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office says the deputy, 27-year-old Jarrett Turner, was responding to a criminal trespass call on Cattlebarron Drive in Azle Monday evening when he was shot at.  One bullet hit the Deputy in the foot.  The Sheriff’s Office says he’s ok and recovering at home.  After shooting at Deputy Turner, the suspect took off and hasn’t been found or identified yet.
