(Decatur, TX) — Investigators in Wise County say an elderly man who is already behind bars may be responsible for nearly 100 murders.
Seventy-eight-year-old Samuel Little is already serving life in prison in California for three deaths there. He has now been extradited to Texas. Investigators thought he was responsible for an unsolved killing near Decatur in the 1980’s. But, Wise County Chief Deputy Craig Johnson told WFAA-TV in Dallas that Little spoke with detectives from across the country about dozens of cold cases while he was in jail in Wise County. He was moved to Ector County earlier this week to face a murder indictment there.
The Texas Rangers, federal investigators and local law enforcement in nearly a dozen states suspect Little is responsible for more than 90 murders dating back to the 1970’s.
