(Fort Worth, TX) – Attorney’s for the so-called “Affluenza Mom” Tonya Couch were in a Fort Worth courtroom yesterday asking for a change of venue in her upcoming trial.

Couch is charged with hindering apprehension and money laundering, for her part in helping her teenage son Ethan Couch flee the country while he was serving probation on a 2013 drunk driving accident that killed four people.  Tonya Couch’s attorney told the court that all the media attention surrounding both cases will keep her from getting a fair trial in Tarrant County.

The Judge said a decision on whether or not to move the trial will come after Thanksgiving.
