(Mineral Wells, TX) – In hopes of drawing new investors, prospective businesses and new residents, the city of Mineral Wells is taking a hard look at a proposal to revitalize the downtown area.
According to the Mineral Wells Index, a Dallas architectural firm has entered into an agreement with the city to develop a downtown design plan at a cost of up to $40,000, paid for with funds from the city’s Tax Increment Reinvestment. A centerpiece of the development plan will be a proposed community park downtown and a design concept dealing with Crystal Canal, the cement drainage ditch running through downtown and the proposed park.
