(Dallas, TX) — Southwest Airlines is planning to raise some fares due to higher expenses.

The Dallas-based airline started raising prices a couple dollars per ticket last week to cover their entire domestic network.  Southwest CEO Gary Kelly tells Bloomberg the air carrier is working on its budget for next year and a new initiative it believes will bring in more money.  He says Southwest is in a good position financially and is looking forward to 2019.
