Hood County traffic stop leads to capture of wanted man

(Hood County) – A sharp-eyed Hood County deputy noticed a wanted man after an unrelated traffic stop in Brazos River Acres Wednesday morning.

According to the Hood County News, the suspect, 24-year-old Ralph Edward Byrne was wanted on felony drug charges.  Sheriff Roger Deeds says Byrne took off running and the Deputy gave chase. The deputy was able to catch the fugitive but had to use pepper spray to subdue him.  Now Byrne faces charges of evading and resisting arrest.
