(Granbury, TX) – Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds is trying to dispel rumors that a shooting took place in a residential area near the Brazos River.

The sheriff’s office says there was a bit of confusion, when according to the Hood County News, there was a report of shots fired about 10 a.m. Thursday in Oak Trail Shores.  Deputies responded but found no guns. However, they did find a carpenter operating a nail gun at a house. Hence, the “shots fired.”

Someone later called authorities and said Facebook was reporting four people had been shot in Oak Trail Shores.  Sheriff Deeds said also “Not true”.
