
(Fort Worth, TX) — A woman is in the Tarrant County jail for drug possession, following a Fort Worth traffic accident in which her daughter and grandson were killed.
Tawanna Barrett was driving on Loop 820 near Craig Street around 7:00 Saturday night when a pickup truck ran into her car. Barrett’s six-year-old daughter, Trinity Atkins, was dead at the scene. Her eleven-month-old grandson, Wesley Barrett, died later at a hospital. It was raining at the time of the accident. The driver of the pick-up that hit Barrett’s car has not been charged.
Police arrested Barrett at the scene for drug possession. She is not accused of having caused the accident.
