(Dallas, TX) — The FBI is looking into a rash of emailed bomb threats against businesses and government buildings across the country, including several in North Texas.
Multiple law enforcement agencies in the area confirmed they were investigating bomb threats. Police in Fort Worth say five businesses so far have received threats by email. Arlington Police said they responded to eight threats on Thursday. Hundreds of threats were emailed across the U.S., claiming someone had hidden a bomb in the building and demanding 20-thousand dollars in bitcoin or they would detonate the bomb.
None of the threats has proven to be real so far.
