(Stephenville, TX) – A Stephenville woman allegedly responsible for the death of two young sisters was arrested over the weekend in Wichita Falls.
Prosecutors say Alyssa Litwin will be brought back to Erath County to face a slew of charges in connection with the December 3rd accident that took the lives of five-year-old Codie and nine-month-old Charli Sackett. Litwin is charged with two counts of manslaughter, four counts of endangering a child, one count of aggravated assault and one count of tampering with evidence. Investigators believe Litwin was on her cell phone when she rear-ended the Sackett’s car on Hwy 281 near Morgan Mill, sending it into oncoming traffic.
The girl’s mother Carrie Sackett was also seriously injured in the crash.
