(Fort Worth, TX) — The bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth is responding to calls for a papal investigation into his behavior.
Bishop Michael Olson published a video on YouTube in which he said it’s impossible to please everyone in a diocese and that not all of his decisions will be understood all the time. An online petition with at least 13-hundred signatures cites more than one example where people believe Olson overstepped his bounds as bishop, and calls Olson’s behavior in closing San Mateo Catholic Church in Fort Worth and removing priests from other parishes “abusive” and “vindictive.”
The petition is asking for the Vatican to investigate Olson.
