(Fort Worth, TX)  —  After posting suicidal thoughts on Facebook, Police say they got a tip from an out of state law enforcement agency that a Florida man was in the South Fort Worth area and needed to be checked on.

Fort Worth police tracked him down, but there was a police chase that turned into a standoff.  The man shot at police, they returned fire and he was killed.  It happened around 3am west of I-35W on Berry Street.  Investigators say it’s not yet clear whether the man shot himself or was shot by police.

As a result of the police Berry Street between Hemphill Street and Evans Avenue was shut down for hours for the investigation.
