(Stephenville, TX) – Stephenville Police are looking for information about a home invasion that took place over the weekend.

According to the Empire Tribune, it happened at a home on W. Long Street just before 8:30 Friday night.  Police received several 9-1-1 calls about three black men wearing hoodies and carrying weapons that were trying to force their way inside a house.  The men reportedly kicked in the front door and confronted the couple living there.  Police say an altercation took place between the intruders and the residents and that the man living at the home fired a shot at the intruders using a pistol they reportedly left behind.   Witnesses saw the men take off in a black car, police say the gun was reported stolen out of the Metroplex.

Police say they’re looking for information on the suspects, even though the couple at the home have declined to press charges and are no longer cooperating with the investigation.
