(Denton, TX) —  A Denton man is dead after being struck by a freight train early yesterday morning.

Authorities responded to the call from Union Pacific Railroad around 2:00 a.m. to a pedestrian hit while walking on the tracks.  He was struck near the intersection of Locust Street and Interstate 35E.  He has not been identified but is said to be a white man in his 20’s.
