(Fort Worth, TX) – It’s been about 40 years since the lights last shone through Pioneer Tower at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, but that will change when work begins to restore the historic landmark as soon as the Fort Worth Stock Show ends.
According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the city will spend $3.75 million restoring the 208 ft. Cultural District tower before the new Dickies Arena opens in November. Pioneer Tower was built in 1936 for the Texas Centennial and has become a symbol of the Fort Worth Stock Show.
