(Baldwin County, AL) — A Texas-based convenience store that just opened its first location in Alabama is now facing a federal lawsuit for the price at the pump.
Buc-ee’s opened a travel center last month along I-10 in Baldwin County. A lawsuit filed by Oasis Travel Center accuses the company of violating the Alabama Motor Fuel Marketing Act by selling gasoline for less than it cost to buy and transport it to its station.
When Buc-ee’s opened last month, the station was selling gas for one-dollar and 80-cents a gallon, which was about 20-cents lower than the average price for the region.
