(Dallas, TX) — Charlotte Russe plans to close 94 stores, including one in Fort Worth, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday.
The young women’s clothing chain operates 500 stores in malls nationwide. In its court filing on Monday, the company said sales are suffering as brick-and-mortar retailers compete with online businesses. The company hopes to emerge from bankruptcy with new ownership.
Charlotte Russe has 15 locations in DFW.
