(Dallas, Tx) – Harrison Barnes wasn’t just traded before today’s NBA deadline. He got traded even before he finished playing last night’s game.
The Dallas Mavericks traded the 26-year-old Forward to the Sacramento Kings in a deal announced after he played most of the first three quarters of the Mavs’ win over the Charlotte Hornets in Dallas. After coming out of the game, instead of heading to the locker room, Barnes stayed on the bench to cheer for his former teammates.
The surprise move by the Mavericks has blown up on social media, even drawing a Tweet of support for Barnes from LeBron James.
