Woman Badly Injured In Downtown Fort Worth Scaffolding Collapse

(Fort Worth, TX)   —  OSHA officials are investigating a scaffolding collapse in Fort Worth that injured three people, one critical.

Around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon, the Fort Worth Fire Department says an exterior construction elevator collapsed showering bricks on a busy downtown streets.  A woman walking on the 2nd Street sidewalk under the scaffolding suffered critical injuries and was taken away in an ambulance.  Two other people were treated for injuries at the scene and released.  A construction worker was left hanging six stories up before he was rescued.

On Thursday, 2nd Street remained blocked off between Houston and Throckmorton for the investigation.
