(Fort Worth, TX) —  An Arlington teenager is accused of federal terrorism charges.

Federal prosecutors charged 18-year-old Michael Kyle Sewell with grooming a would-be recruit for a terrorism group and arranging to get him to Pakistan.  Prosecutors say Sewell used social media to recruit for the Pakistani group.  The person he recruited online turned out to be an undercover federal agent.

The charges accuse Sewell of recruiting and coaching the man on what to say, to show he was committed to fighting for a Pakistani terrorist group.  Sewell is a former student in the Arlington ISD.
