(Dallas, Tx) – A group of North Texas teenage amputees will be spending this week in the Rockies learning how to snow ski.
The kids took off Monday morning from DFW Airport to participate in the program by the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. The hospital’s 38th annual ski trip started with a sendoff party at the airport. The 14 kids and their chaperones and medical staff are off to Winter Park, Colorado. The teens will learn to ski and snowboard in spite of their handicaps.
