(Peaster, Tx) – Peaster ISD board of trustees have decided to call for a $16 million bond election for the May 4th ballot.
According to the Weatherford Democrat, if approved by voters, the 30-year bond would pay for building more classrooms at Peaster Junior High School, a gym and a field house by the stadium. The project would move fifth and sixth graders out of the elementary school by building classrooms and other spaces for them at the junior high.
Trustees have been discussing space needs within the district, particularly at Peaster Elementary School, since last fall. Their decision came after the board spent two special meetings discussing bond projects.
