(Granbury, Tx) – A Granbury man is in jail, accused in a drunk driving crash that took the life of a woman and injured her husband late last month.
40-year-old Stephen Pengelly is charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Pengelly was driving at a high rate of speed on January 30th when he wrecked out on FM 3210 near Pecan Plantation.
A passenger in the car, 32-year-old Morgan Quarles of Granbury was ejected and died later at the hospital. Her husband Jordan Smith was also injured but has since been released.
