(Mineral Wells, TX) – A murder suspect has been released from the Palo Pinto County jail for what prosecutors say are medical reasons.

The Mineral Wells Index reports Lonneil Javon White, of Dallas, was freed last week in a personal recognizance agreement with the DA’s office rather than having to put up his original $750,000 bond.  Palo Pinto County District Attorney Kriste Burnett said White has an undisclosed medical condition that requires expensive surgery and post-surgical care, and that she did not want the county taxpayers to be on the hook for the medical costs.

White is accused of shooting and killing Richard Grajeda during a dispute last month at a Country Club Estates home in Mineral Wells.  He is required to check in with the probation office once a week.  The case has not yet gone before a grand jury.
