(Dallas, TX) — The FAA is increasing its scrutiny of Southwest Airlines maintenance stations in Dallas and across the country.
The airline had declared an operational emergency at several of its facilities last week, and Dallas was added to the list this week. Southwest says 40 of its 750 aircraft have been taken out of service each day for unscheduled repairs. The airline and its mechanics union have been trying to negotiate a new contract for the last six and a half years.
