Rape Suspect Impersonates Fort Worth Cop

(Fort Worth, Tx) – Fort Worth Police are asking for the public’s help finding and identifying a sexual assault suspect who impersonated a police officer.

Investigators say it happened around 8:15 on the night of Feb. 18th, a woman driving a maroon Dodge Ram pickup on Loop 820 near Team Ranch Road was pulled over by the fake cop who was driving a black Dodge Charger with a “police style” white spotlight mounted on the driver’s side door, and a red flashing light attached to its roof.  The suspect told the woman to get out of her truck and walk over to the passenger side of the Charger, where he sexually assaulted her.

The man is described as 6 feet tall with a stocky build. He wore a dark-colored jacket and dark-colored “jogger-style” pants tucked into white high-top Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers. He has a southern accent.  The Charger he was driving had tinted windows, tinted “black out style” rear tail light covers, black rims on its wheels, and a Texas license plate attached to the rear.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident take place is asked to call 817-469-TIPS (8477).
