(New York, NY) — The NFL is once again suspending Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory indefinitely for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.

This marks the fourth suspension in four-plus years for Gregory, who was conditionally reinstated this past season following a year-long ban.  He posted 25 tackles and six sacks in 14 games for the Cowboys.  Gregory played in just two games in 2016 following his first two suspensions before he was banned all of 2017 following a third violation of the drug policy.

The 26-year-old was taken by Dallas in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft after failing a drug test at the Scouting Combine as well as issues while at Nebraska.  Gregory had previously admitted he used marijuana for his chronic anxiety.
