(Stephenville, Tx) – The Erath County Jail received good news for the second year in a row.
An official with the Texas Commission on Jail Standards showed up earlier this week unannounced for an annual inspection. The Stephenville Empire Tribune reports there were no deficiencies found at the jail, which has an average population of 86 inmates overseen by 29 jailers. Erath County Sheriff Matt Coates said he was pleased with the inspection and that the staff does a great job.
