(Dallas, TX)  —  John Hancock, Daniel Webster, George Patton and Oprah are some of the nearly 60 people cut from the history curriculum in Texas.

Hillary Clinton and the Heroes of the Alamo were left in.  The Dallas Morning News reported the state Board of Education made the deletions to streamline the number of historical figures that students are required to know.  But the cuts aren’t mandatory, and teachers can still choose to include these people in their lectures.
