(Frisco, TX)  —  Jason Witten is ending his TV career to return to the Dallas Cowboys.

The team announced today the tight end will unretire and play in 2019 season.  Witten says the competitive fire inside him is too strong and he wants to help Dallas make a run for a championship.  Witten has played 15 seasons in the NFL, all with the Cowboys.  He originally retired last April to be on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.”

The 11-time Pro Bowler will play on a one-year contract worth about $5 million.  Number 82 has 1,152 career receptions.  Witten turn 36 in May.
