(Austin, TX)  —  The Texas House is expected to reveal a school finance bill this week.

Representative Dan Huberty, the Houston Republican who chairs the House Public Education Committee, tweeted that he’ll unveil the bill Tuesday and hold public hearings in the committee next week.  Both the state legislature and Gov. Greg Abbott have prioritized the related issues of school finance and property tax relief for this session.  Huberty says the bill will include many recommendations from the Texas Commission on Public School Finance.
