(Fort Worth, TX) — A man is facing charges after a woman claims she was the victim of human trafficking.
Fort Worth police were notified after a woman passed a note to a worker at the Texas Department of Public Safety where she was taken to apply for an identification card. The victim told police she moved in with 23-year-old Austin John Marshall in September and he would threaten her and choke her, forcing her into prostitution in order to pay their rent.
Marshall has posted bond for a charge of compelling prostitution but is currently being held in the Tarrant County jail for an outstanding warrant.
