HUD Secretary Makes Visit To Fort Worth

(Fort Worth, TX) — U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson was in Fort Worth Wednesday to discuss a federal grant for homeless veterans.

Mayor Betsy Price hosted Dr. Carson as they discuss the more than 13-million-dollar grant by HUD. Through the funding, 181 homeless veterans were able to find safe housing within 100 days through the Tarrant County-Fort Worth-Arlington Continuum of Care program.

Carson’s visit marks the third time the HUD Secretary has come to the area.
