(Granbury, TX) – A 55-year-old De Leon woman was taken into custody Saturday after she reportedly tried to rob a bank in Granbury.

According to the Hood County News, the suspect identified as Janie Nicholas Koval, pulled a handgun and demanded $20,000 at the Chase Bank in Granbury Saturday morning.  Police responded to the bank on Hwy. 377 about 9:40 a.m. and took Koval into custody without incident.  Police say the woman admitted she stole the vehicle and the gun used in the robbery attempt.

Koval has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and is currently in the Hood County Jail.
