(Undated)  —  American and Southwest airlines are planning to keep their Boeing 737 Max planes in the air despite a deadly crash in Africa.

Both North Texas-based air carriers say they are confident in the planes and the crews who fly them.  Southwest is also planning to buy around 220 more 737 Max jets from Boeing.  Over 150 were killed over the weekend when an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 Max jet went down in Ethiopia.

Multiple international air carriers and some countries have grounded the planes due to the crash.
