Granbury Student Arrested For Making Threat On Social Media

(Granbury, TX) — A Granbury student is out of jail on bond after being arrested for allegedly making a threat against her school on social media.

17-year-old Sierra Mendoza is accused of posting a video calling herself “the next school shooter”.  The threat was made against the STARS Accelerated High School after classes were dismissed for spring break.  Mendoza was arrested over the weekend after Hood County investigators got a tip about the video.

She’s facing a misdemeanor charge of exhibition threat or use of firearms.  Her bond was set at $2,500.
