Texas Donut Shop Tweet Goes Viral

(Missouri City, TX) — Business is picking up at a Houston area donut shop since the owner’s son put out an earnest plea on Twitter.

Satharith By opened up his shop Billy’s Donuts last week in Missouri City. They had plenty of donuts, just no customers. In an effort to help drum up business, By’s son Billy on Saturday tweeted a pic of his dad behind the counter with the caption my dad is sad cause no one is coming to his new donut shop. Billy By had no idea how effective that tweet would be.

As of Tuesday morning the picture had been retweeted more than 320-thousand times with more than 700-thousand likes. The shop sold out Sunday and the customers kept coming. By was overwhelmed and tweeted an update: this means so much to my family.
